how this portal came to be
This portal was built by hand.
Pure HTML and CSS, no JavaScript of my own.
Minimal by choice.
The initial reference came from a casual discovery on Reddit, while searching for a simple, text-focused HTML page.
That search led me to: no-js.club
From there, my web projects were gradually reshaped and adapted to my own needs and aesthetics. Vort3x2000 is where that journey comes together, with the early 2000s XP look on top and the no-JS philosophy underneath.
Hosted on Neocities.
Designed as a personal portal, a hub that links all my other projects and a long-term archive.
Inspired by Web 1.0. Built in the present.
This site is designed to work without JavaScript. Every page is plain HTML and CSS: the XP buttons, the tooltips and the image viewer in the gallery are all done in CSS.
The only scripts that may run come from external embeds (Bandcamp, Odysee and a few small widgets), and they are always optional.
